This article is devoted to the study of the impact of artificial intelligence on the translation process, because in the modern world, technologies are developing incredibly quickly, and artificial intelligence is becoming an integral part of many spheres of life, including translation.
Considering the fact that artificial intelligence is actively used for machine translation, offering fast and convenient solutions for multilingual communication, the article substantiates the trends in the development of artificial intelligence technologies and considers the algorithms and processes at the basis of real-time translation technology. The authors focus on the new possibilities that artificial intelligence opens up for translation and consider the advantages that make it a valuable tool for promoting effective communication.
Thanks to the integration of artificial intelligence, it becomes possible to translate large texts of any format in real time, review lexical alternatives, analyze syntactic structures and train intercultural communication skills.
Particular attention is paid to the most common AI tools used for real-time translations, namely machine translation systems such as Google Translate, DeepL, Microsoft Translator, Reverso, and ChatGPT. It also provides a list of factors and ethical aspects that are important to consider when choosing a translation tool in order to obtain a quality translation, and explains how machine translation can simplify the translation process, how reliable it can be, and in which cases it is worth contacting a professional translator.
In the course of the research, we came to the conclusion that artificial intelligence can act as an auxiliary tool for the translator, as well as the basis for fully automated solutions, the choice of which depends on specific tasks. At the same time, it should be realized that the application of artificial intelligence is only one of the aspects that requires continuous research and improvement, since language is a living, changing system that requires constant analysis and adaptation to new realities.
