The article is devoted to the study of the stylistic principles underlying the formation of newspaper and magazine texts in the Ukrainian media within the context of the transformation of the contemporary information space. The relevance of the research is determined by the increasing requirements for the quality of journalistic texts, which must ensure not only prompt dissemination of information but also a logical, well-reasoned, and persuasive presentation of socially significant events. The growing role of the media in shaping public opinion has intensified the need for a comprehensive understanding of the linguistic and stylistic mechanisms that determine the effectiveness of newspaper and magazine communication. The purpose of the article is to analyze the stylistic principles underlying the formation of newspaper and magazine texts in the Ukrainian media. The methodological framework of the study is based on general scientific and specialized methods, including analysis, synthesis, generalization, descriptive, functional-stylistic, communicative-pragmatic, and contextual methods. The study summarizes contemporary scholarly approaches to the investigation of newspaper and magazine texts as a complex communicative system and identifies the role of lexical accuracy, compositional organization, stylistic figures, and tropes in ensuring the informativeness, logical coherence, and persuasiveness of journalistic discourse. It is substantiated that the linguistic and stylistic organization of newspaper and magazine texts is based on the integration of factual reliability, analytical depth, pragmatic orientation, and clarity of presentation. The research demonstrates that the use of stylistic figures, metaphors, antitheses, syntactic parallelism, rhetorical questions, parcellation, repetition, and other expressive devices enhances the communicative impact of media texts, captures readers’ attention, and facilitates a deeper understanding of the author's position. The practical dimension of the research is implemented through the analysis of contemporary Ukrainian newspaper and magazine publications, which makes it possible to identify the specific features of the functioning of stylistic devices in authentic media discourse. Based on the articles by Ya. Vinokurov and B. Laszlo, it has been established that contemporary newspaper and magazine texts are characterized by the integration of documentary evidence with analytical commentary, a well-defined compositional structure, and the use of quotations, legal and regulatory sources, statistical data, cause-and-effect relationships, rhetorical constructions, and well-grounded conclusions. It has been proved that such stylistic organization ensures the accessibility of complex socio-political and economic information, increases the credibility of media messages, and contributes to the formation of well-reasoned public opinion. The findings of the study indicate that the stylistic principles underlying the formation of newspaper and magazine texts are determined by the integrated interaction of linguistic, compositional, and pragmatic components, which ensure the integrity, logical coherence, informativeness, and persuasiveness of media discourse. The practical significance of the obtained results lies in the possibility of their application in the preparation of journalistic materials, the teaching of journalism, Ukrainian stylistics, and media linguistics courses, as well as in further research on contemporary Ukrainian media discourse.
