Abstract

The article provides a comprehensive linguopragmatic analysis of the functioning of specialized phraseology in modern German business correspondence. The relevance of the study is determined by the need to systematize stable expressions that ensure the communicative efficiency of professional interaction in the context of the digital transformation of the business environment and the rapid growth of electronic communication. The theoretical and methodological basis of the work is a synthesis of the classical concepts of German phraseology by W. Fleischer and H. Burger with the achievements of the Ukrainian linguistic school, in particular the works of G. Baranova, N. Bielova, O. Romanovska, S. Terekhova, and A. Kosenko. Within the scope of the study, specialized phraseology is classified according to functional and semantic features into terminological compounds, functional verb phrases (Funktionsverbgefüge), and pragmatic routine formulas.

Particular attention is paid to the differentiation of independent and dependent speech units, which act as textual regulators and ensure the logical connection of the main structural stages of a business letter: from etiquette formulas of address and introductory clichés to references to previous communication, documentation support formulas, and final strategic assurances. It is proved that despite the modern tendency toward brevity and economy of linguistic means in electronic correspondence, the official business style maintains a high degree of phraseologization. This is explained by the need for legal precision, unambiguity of content interpretation, and adherence to conventional norms of politeness, which is critically important in situations of high formality, such as banking or legal correspondence.

The scientific novelty of the study lies in the substantiation of the status of routine formulas as cognitive-pragmatic blocks that automate professional speech, minimize the risks of communicative failure, and contribute to the formation of a positive image of business partners. It is established that phraseological units of foreign origin, particularly Anglicisms, have become an integral part of German business vocabulary, performing the role of economic universals. The results of the work have practical significance for the development of educational programs in German for professional purposes and the linguistic support of international business communication.
