Abstract

The article considers the role of the economy as an essential sphere in modern society because it affects many spheres of public life. Economic discourse shows how participants in this sphere interact, including politics, trade relations and financial management. In the article, the economic discourse is presented on the materials of The Economist magazines. It is noted as an important resource for improving language skills and understanding various economic aspects. The unique style of the texts, excellent lexical-grammatical structure and adaptation of linguistic means to specific situations make it a valuable tool for mastering economic speech. The article describes the main categories of economic terms, including generally accepted, financial, economic and specialized non-economic terms. The role of lexical-stylistic features in the expansion of economic vocabulary, the establishment of the stylistic formation of language and its influence on the effectiveness of texts are considered. Stylistic tools are used to highlight and reinforce specific aspects of economic terms and pay attention to the emotional side of the soil, making information more understandable and practical. The Economist is crucial for improving language skills and understanding economic aspects; their original style and grammatical structure distinguish its texts. In economic discourse, stylistic devices are used to form a specific language manner, which not only highlights economic terms and evokes figurative comparisons, but also enhances the textual impact on the audience, emphasizing the main elements of analysis and taking into account the emotional aspect for the comprehensibility and effectiveness of information. The article highlights the role of stylistics as a science of language use and its impact on the expressiveness of the text through the use of various stylistic devices, such as epithets, metaphors, similes, metonymies, synecdoches, hyperboles, litotes, personifications, paraphrases, allegories, ironies, and anaphora.
